Cape Town – A Somerset West man, Michael Latsky, who left home earlier this month to go cycling, is still missing.

Western Cape police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed on Monday that Latsky is still being sought by the police.

His family are desperately searching for him or any information that could lead to his whereabouts.

Latsky went missing at 5pm on May 14. The 43-year-old was wearing black cycling shorts, a black and blue cycling top, black cycling shoes and a grey cycling helmet at the time of his disappearance.

His bike was discovered in Gordon’s Bay and handed back to his family. He was allegedly last seen at the Gordon’s Bay whale lookout point.

Latsky has dark eyes, black hair and is of average height and medium build.

Search parties have been conducted to find him since he went missing. Anyone with information is requested to contact Detective Sergeant Elton Isaacs at 074 081 6959 or the Pink Ladies NPO at 072 214 7439 or 083 378 4882.
