Can someone please explain to me this discrepancy when buying prepaid electricity for my house?

This is not the first time that I have bought power and I get less than half the units between two months.

I tend to buy power at the beginning of every month or thereabouts. Last month I bought R500 worth of power and got 259.4kW.

This month I bought R450 worth of power and only got 114kW?

Now, where is the rest of my electricity?

This has happened a number of times throughout this year where what I buy gives me little to no power. I seem to get less than half the power I am actually paying for.

I’ve tried to work out the kW per rand but it fluctuates constantly.

When one looks closer at the two receipts I’ve included here, It also appears that the amount of power being sold to me changes.

When I paid the R500 I got 1.922 units per rand. But for some reason at R450 I only get 114.4 units which means I am now paying just over double for electricity or 3.934 units per rand.

Also, it seems that the actual amount of units sold to me were only R229 worth of power this month? What is going on.

I have all my receipts for this year and notice that this seems to be a recurring issue. I am happy to send these through.

Can someone please explain this to me and how is it possible that we are having double price increases continuously throughout the year?

I am really confused.
