Durban - The upcoming long weekend will not be a dull affair for Durbanites heading to the inaugural IBV Supercars, Art and Shopping Festival at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
According to the organisers, those attending will be immersed in a world where luxury performance vehicles, art and high-end fashion meet.
Starting on Thursday, April 26 and ending on Sunday April, 29, the event is expected to create a hive of activity around uMhlanga as the world’s finest luxury vehicles, supercars and vintage models make their way to Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
Art in many forms will be showcased as visitors to the centre enjoy live music, visual art, fashion shows.
According to the organisers, the event is the first of many global supercar, art and shopping festivals that will unite like-minded people who share an interest in art, fashion and the thrill of luxury performance vehicles.
Automotive enthusiasts can expect a thrilling display of high-end vintage models and extravagant supercars, as well as an exclusive supercar automotive auction. For those with a love for paintings, sculptures and photography, a huge variety of artwork will be exhibited throughout the centre.
On Saturday April 28, the festivities will culminate in a high-end fashion show, where local designers and exclusive brands will showcase their ready-to-wear garments.
