Although they say you can’t take it with you, the Egyptian pharaohs had themselves buried with their worldly riches to accompany them into the afterlife.

Now a Brazilian man is planning a similar scheme with his beloved Bentley Continental Flying Spur.

Conde Chiquinho Scarpaso (62) is so infatuated with his British luxury car he has revealed he plans to bury it, so he can be with it in the hereafter.

In a photo published on his personal Facebook page, the Sao Paulo businessman stands beside his R2.2-million prized possession with a spade at his side.

The caption reads: “For those who are wavering, just yesterday I’ve already begun to make the hole in the yard to bury my Bentley. By the end of the week I bury him!”

Scarpaso was inspired by documentaries he’s recently watched about the pharaohs, and how they buried their fortunes with them to have a more comfortable afterlife.

Then he published this photo of a hole being dug in his garden, where it seems he plans on spending a very long time finding a just-perfect non-driving position. -Drive Times
