More than 1000 vintage, veteran and classic cars from all over the country turned out for the annual George Old Car Show at the weekend - but this ultra-rare, all-aluminium 1926 Hispano Suiza H6, belonging to Rudolf Greyvenstein of Wilderness, was the undoubted star of the show.
Its functional fascia is a classic example of form following function but the hand-beaten metal of the body and the fishtail end of the exhaust show how the automakers of yesteryear put individuality into their designs.
