Aerobatic aces all set to light up Maritzburg’s skies
Aviation fans can look forward to an exciting line-up of aircraft, including the Gabriel Wings Pitts Special aerobatic team, when the KZN Winter Air Tour comes to Pietermaritzburg at the weekend.
THE fourth leg of the KZN Winter Air Tour will take place at the Pietermaritzburg airport on Saturday.
The public can expect a spectacular line-up of aircraft,including a L39 Jet, the Ecko Yaks, the Zoo York Zlins, Mazda Zoom Zoom and Gabriel Wings Pitts Specials.
In addition to the planes, the Harley Davidson club will entertain the crowd and there will be more than 40 different exhibitors on show.
The show, one of six taking place at airports across the province, is thanks to a partnership between the KZN Treasury, Department of Economic Development and Tourism, and the Msunduzi municipality, to promote the city of Pietermaritzburg.
Gates open at 8am, with the show starting at 10am and running until 3pm.
