Four arrested for allegedly killing teenager at KZN school

Durban - Four people have been arrested for murder in a pre-dawn raid on a house in Mpumalanga in the outer west area of Durban on Monday. 

Captain Nqobile Gwala, a KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson said a joint operation was conducted at Georgedale in Mpumalanga to locate the suspects involved in a murder of a man whose body was found dumped in a school yard. 

"It is alleged on 17 July 2019 at 1.30pm the body of an 18-year-old boy was found with stab wounds at a school in Georgedale. He sustained stab wounds to the body. A total of four suspects aged between 19 and 23 were arrested for murder," she said.

Gwala said they will be profiled to check if they are linked to any other cases committed in Mpumalanga. 

They are expected to appear in court soon. 

Magma investigations spokesperson Shaheen Suleiman said it was a joint operation between the Pietermartizburg SAPS dog unit, Provincial organised crime and  the Multi-Dimensional Crime Intelligence (MDOC) .
