Durban – Three suspects wanted for murder and attempted murder were arrested by police and private security after they were spotted in Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday morning.
Mi7 National Group spokesperson Colin David said their strategic threat response unit received information on the whereabouts of the three suspects from Greytown at around 11am on Tuesday.
“The trio were wanted by the police for a number of cases, including murder and attempted murder,” David said.
He said Mi7 reaction officers and the police’s K9 unit officers proceeded to Manchester Road where the suspects were spotted.
“In a quick swoop, all three were apprehended and detained at the Mountain Rise police station,” David said.
Police confirmed that on Tuesday, police arrested one suspect aged 48 for murder and attempted murder which took place in February 2021.
