DURBAN - Two people were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in rolled in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands on Saturday morning.

Midlands EMS said Howick crews were dispatched to an accident on the Curry’s Post Road just in Howick.

“On arrival it was found that a single motor vehicle had left the roadway and rolled multiple times.

“Two people sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene and several others sustained injuries from serious to moderate,” Midlands EMS said.

Police had not commented by the time of publication.

A few minutes later, Midlands EMS responded to the N3 past Mooi River for a single motor vehicle that had rolled.

Midlands EMS said when paramedics arrived, they found multiple patients had been ejected from the vehicle and sustained injuries varying from critical to serious.

“One of the patients had to be placed in a manual ventilator before being transported to hospital for further care,” Midlands EMS said.

All patients were treated on scene before being transported to various hospitals for further care.

The exact cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities.
