“KZN VIP emergency response teams arrived on the scene to find the vehicle, a silver Mercedes-Benz which overturned through a retaining fence and came to a rest against a home below road level,” Naidoo said.

He said the occupants of the home escaped unharmed but were traumatised by the incident. However, there was extensive damage to the property.

“The driver and passenger of the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and were removed from the vehicle by KZN VIP medics who began stabilising before transporting them to hospital for further medical attention,” Naidoo said.
