DURBAN - A woman was killed after she was electrocuted in northern Durban on Tuesday.

Medi Response spokesperson Paul Herbst said earlier on Tuesday, Medi Response responded to the Shakaskraal area for reports of a household emergency.

“On arrival of paramedics, it was reported that a lady had seemingly collapsed inside her residence. Upon examination, the casualty did not show any sign of life, and they were declared dead on the scene,” Herbst said.

“It is reported that the lady had made physical contact with an uninsulated electrical installation, and she was electrocuted.”

He said the police would investigate further.

Police had not commented by the time of publication.
