Gstaad - The two tiny heirs to the Monaco throne were recently spotted enjoying the snow in the Swiss mountains with their mom, Princess Charlene of Monaco.

The royal family were joined by Prince Albert at the weekend in Gstaad in Switzerland, where the Prince and Princess enjoyed a break, with the Prince staying on at the resort to celebrate his 58th birthday with his family on Monday.

It was reported that the Prince had snapped photos of their two lively twins at his birthday dinner, with little Gabriella dancing.

The royal family’s break at the The Alpina, a luxury five star hotel, was spent between the pool at the resort and having fun in the snow outside.

The twins are 15 months old and delighted in playing about and tumbling in the snow, while Princess Charlene is already teaching them how to swim.

“They will know how to swim and survive in water, just like my mother did with me,” said Princess Charlene, while Prince Albert has said she is “marvellous with the children.”

Monaco’s royal couple are known to be extremely close and are often spotted out pushing the babies in their prams.

Princess Charlene has openly said her prince is “the love of her life” and they enjoy both work and time together, with the two active toddlers keeping them on their toes.

Princess Charlene is a former South African Olympic swimmer and Ballito resident.

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation for Southern Africa is based in Durban, and provides tuition in swimming and water-safety skills to underprivileged children.
