Durban - We have noted the press statement by Prince Africa Zulu, the spokesperson of Zulu King MisuZulu kaZwelithini, denying that the latter met with Andile Ramaphosa, the son of President Cyril Ramaphosa, a few days before the certificate of recognition was issued.

Strangely, the recordings of the meeting are there for all to see, yet the prince felt it necessary to deny the obvious – thus embarrassing himself.

Again, it was very strange that the prince did not directly challenge the Daily News over the story, which published it exclusively.

Instead, he distributed the disparaging statement to competing platforms and excluded the Daily News, even though he has our contact details.

The statement paints a picture of a royal communications team that is not only in disarray, but also does not understand how to handle such delicate matters.

With that said, we stand by our story and we have no intention of retracting it. We call on the Royal House to officially challenge it if they feel there is something wrong with it.

We have once again included the recording below for everyone's convenience.

Best regards,
