Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is a spectacular new staging of the traditional master piece. Otello

World-famous tenor Jonas Kaufmann makes his role debut as Otello in Verdi’s passionate retelling of Shakespeare’s great tragedy of jealousy, deception and murder. Soprano Maria Agresta will be his Desdemona and baritone Ludovic Tézier his nemesis Iago in a new production by Olivier Award- winning director Keith Warner.

Cape Town Tango Ensemble

The Cape Town Concert Series opens its new season with a special concert featuring the Cape Town Tango Ensemble. They will perform a programme of tango inspired chamber music giving focus to the core instruments comprising bass, violin, piano and of course accordion with Charles Lazar, Piet de Beer, Albert Combrink and Stanislav Anguelov. To join in with the Baxter celebrations of turning 40 years there will be an open Milonga Dance in the foyer after the concert so bring your dancing shoes!
