It’s been ten months since they split up, but it’s obvious the feelings are still pretty raw between AKA and Zinhle.

The rapper, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, exploded on Twitter, taking pot shots at the mother of his child for “making a career out of shading” him.

AKA’s Twitter tantrum seems to have been sparked by a TV programme which showcased Zinhle’s house. The rapper was incensed that the broadcast footage included pictures of him and his mother. What also seemed to irk him was a picture of Zinhle wearing one of DJ Euphonik’s “Nonke” T-shirts. Euphonik is the former partner of AKA’s current girlfriend, Bonang Matheba.

AKA seemed to suggest that these instances are part of an orchestrated campaign by Zinhle to undermine him.

“Why are there pictures of myself and my mother in her house? And why does she make a point of showing it on TV? Where is HER mother? Why are there so many pictures of my mother on Instagram .... And none of her own mother? It's weird. Let go. Please,” he raged.

“Why the f**k should I protect the mother of my child when she is making a career out of shading me?

“There's tons of s**t you don't know. But because I was trying to be a decent father, i kept my mouth shut.”

Warming up to the topic, he accused Euphonik of masterminding the perceived slight. Euphonik has been vocal about the acrimonious nature of his split with Bonang.

“So petty, can't even see Euphonik is using her. All for what? Some likes? Some “LOL”s ??? .... No man. I'm done being quiet.”

Earlier in his epic rant, AKA sang the praises of Bonang, who many Twitter cynics blame for the AKA/Zinhle break up soon after the birth of their son Kairo.

“They called B* a whore for nearly a year now ... Every single day. Not once has she spoken out. THAT is strength. THAT is grace.”

The rapper then seemed to suggest he wasn’t being afforded the respect he had paid for.

“Kairo has MY surname. I paid for that. Took care of my responsibility according to HER culture. So where is MY due respect as a father?”

The AKA Zinhle fall-out naturally dividing public opinion.

While some championed AKA’s decision to speak out, other’s questioned why the argument had to be made public.

“#AKA and #DJZinhle are history only on B's head because these two been trending for over a year after the breakup about their Relationship,” read one tweet, hinting at a deeper, underlying factor.

Another poster sympathised with the plight of single fathers, saying: “the hostility tht #Aka experience is th same thing tht young paps suffer frm once thr is problem with baby mams”.

While the parents are seemingly consumed by their hatred for one another, some were worried about the fate of the child.

“U should always respect the mother of Ur child..Especially when it involves a daughter..She is learning from what you show her..#Zinhle #AKA,” read one tweet.
