Amanda Bynes has returned to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in California after she was reportedly kicked out last year due to her erratic behaviour.

The troubled star, 29, was allowed to return to sketch class last week in order to continue her career in design.

A source told TMZ.com: “She's taking sketch classes to learn how to draw fashion pieces that can later be turned into real garments. She'll have a personal security guard to walk her around campus.”

Her return to FIDM comes 11 months after the 'Easy A' star, who is trying to get her life back on track after being involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric hospital for the second time last October, said she had taken a tour of the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.

She wrote on Twitter at the time: “I took a USC campus tour yesterday it was sick! I plan on transferring from FIDM. The campus is sick!”

Amanda was rumoured to have been kicked out of FIDM after she allegedly turned up to class under the influence of marijuana and offered students money to do her homework.
