The 'Mysterious Girl' singer admitted he had his most private area pierced when he was in his 90s pop heyday.
Speaking on TV show 'Mad Mad World', he said: "I did go through a bit of a mad stage but back in the 90s everyone was doing it."
Peter has been revealing his racy side recently, saying he would like to write a version of erotic novel '50 Shades of Grey' for men.
He said: "Everyone's talking about the book 'Fifty Shades Of Grey', and us guys are feeling like we're missing out! Even on my Twitter feed, people are talking about it and I don't know what the heck's going on!
"Can I read it or is it just for girls? Help me out! Thinking about it, I might write my own version of the book, just for blokes."
The 39-year-old musician-turned-reality TV star is also rumoured to be dating 22-year-old medical student Emily MacDonagh, who he met when he was treated by her father, a surgeon, two years ago.
His spokesperson said: "Emily is a lovely girl and Pete thinks the world of her and her family.
"He is extremely cautious and it is early days. They are getting to know each other at the moment but get on tremendously well."
