DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, has reached out to Paulo Coelho on Twitter to possibly write his biography and the award-winning author responded.

In a tweet on Monday evening, the internationally acclaimed deejay revealed that he was "ready" to tell "that story". He challenged fans to retweet his post.

"My entire life has been like something from a Book...I'm ready to tell that story.....How many Rt's @paulocoelho Sir to write my Story.(sic)" he asked.

Black Coffee's tweet was shared over 2 600 times in a matter of hours, as fans went crazy for the idea and encouraged Paulo to take up the opportunity.

'The Alchemist' author eventually responded saying he was busy, but did not decline the deejay's request.

Paulo said: "I am currently working on a book to be published by the end (of) 2018 but I will follow you and we can chat about it.(sic)"

If Black Coffee pens is life story, he will follow in the footsteps of local stars Trevor Noah, Bonang Matheba and Somizi Mhlongo who have all released books about their lives in recent months.

What do you think the title of the book will be? My money is on "Pieces of Me".
