Are Eddie Murphy and Toni Braxton are a couple?
According to Us Weekly, the comedian (50) and the ‘Un-break My Heart’ singer (44) are “seeing each other” and are “very into it”.
Murphy, who has eight children from his previous relationships, was spotted cheering on Braxton at her concert in Los Angeles earlier this month.
Braxton has two children from her previous relationship with singer Keri Lewis. The couple seperated in 2009 after eight years of marriage. Braxton’s consequent search for love has been the focus on her reality show ‘Braxton Family Values’.
A spokesperson for the singer told Us Weekly that there was nothing romantic between the two stars.
“Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other's work for a long time.”
However, a Us Weekly “insider” claims differently, hinting that Braxton and Murphy have long-term plans in mind.
“Their kids have met and everything. It's getting very serious.”
Murphy’s love life of late has read a lot like a soap opera. The ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ star dated former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, from 2006 to 2007 before the pair split acrimoniously. Murphy used the red carpet at the premiere for ‘Dreamgirls’ to publicly question the paternity of a child Brown claimed was his. A court-ordered DNA test proved Brown right.
Murphy then exchanged vows with Tracey Edmonds in what was later termed a “symbolic” ceremony in 2008. The union, however, was never made legal. - IOL
