Singer Chris Brown is being investigated by Los Angeles police after an altercation with Frank Ocean in West Hollywood.

London - Police in Los Angeles are investigating Chris Brown for “assault”.

The Turn Up The Music hitmaker is said to have got into a brawl with Frank Ocean on Sunday night over a parking spot at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles and police say they were told Chris threw the first punch.

A statement from the Los Angeles Police Department stated: “West Hollywood Station deputies are investigating allegations that Chris Brown assaulted an unnamed victim. Deputies responded to a call of six males fighting at the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood.

“Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space. The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim.

“After a brief fight, the parties were separated. Chris Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the arrival of deputies. The investigation is ongoing and investigators will contact Chris Brown at a later time.”

Sources say that Frank told Chris, who is still on probation for assaulting his on/off girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, "This is my studio, this is my parking spot," which prompted Chris to offer a handshake.

However, one of Frank's associates is then said to have attacked him, which led to one of Chris's friends hitting him in retaliation and the two singers then began fighting.

Frank took to Twitter shortly after to say he was "jumped" by Chris and claims his hand injury may affect his live performance at the Grammy Awards next month. - Bang Showbiz
