David and Victoria Beckham are the world’s fourth highest-paid celebrity couple, according to a rich list published yesterday.
The former England captain may be at the tail end of his football career, but he still scored the lion’s share of a joint income worth more than £27million with his former Spice Girl wife.
Much of Beckham’s cash comes from endorsement deals with Adidas and Samsung, for which he will be the global brand ambassador during next year’s Olympics.
The 36-year-old brought in £24million while Posh, 37, made the rest from sales of her fashion lines and £2,000 handbags.
The only other Briton in the top five is actor Robert Pattinson, 25, who shared earnings of £24million with 21-year-old girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. Their pay packet was split down the middle due to the global success of the vampire films franchise.
Topping the Forbes magazine list was supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her American Football star husband Tom Brady, who made £46million.
Number two on the list was music’s most powerful couple, Beyonce Knowles and rap mogul Jay-Z who made more than £43.5million in the twelve months up to May this year.
At number three were Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with an annual income of more than £30million. - Daily Mail
