Award-winning American R&B group All-4-One are set to perform in Joburg and Cape Town next month.

The Cape Town leg of their tour will take place at the GrandWest on Friday, March 10, and the Joburg concert will be held at Carnival City on Saturday, March 11. The group are also expected to tour with a few local musicians as support acts.

All-4-One shot to fame in 1994 with the hit single I Swear, which won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 1995, along with their other popular hits, including So Much in Love and I Can Love You Like That.

The group are still running strong with original members Jamie Jones, Tony Borowiak, Delious Kennedy and Alfred Nevarez.

“We’re on the road touring and still having fun doing this singing thing,” Kennedy said over the phone. “We’ve always said, even from the beginning and the early years, that when it stops being fun for us we’re gonna quit. We’re still the best of friends, so whenever we’re together we have fun.”

The last time the group came to South Africa was in 2000 for a gig in Joburg.

“I’m looking forward to it. We’ve never been to Cape Town before and I’m excited and overjoyed,” said Kennedy. “We’re just figuring out what songs to sing and will try to change our show a little bit for the South African audience.”
