London - Fifi Geldof has defended her late sister Peaches.

The 31 year old took to her Instagram account on Thursday to slam critics of her younger sister after an inquest found she had overdosed on high-strength heroin and had drug paraphernalia scattered about the house - where she cared for her two sons Astala, two, and 15-month-old Phaedra - when she died in April this year.

Fifi posted an image on the picture-sharing site that read: "Don't keep calm and f*** this. F*** that. F*** you. F*** off."

She captioned the photo: "Sums it up nicely about how I'm feeling about the viciousness today. Maybe now she'll be allowed to RIP."

One user, @xsuzannex11, replied: "Think people are more annoyed at how she portrayed her life for her kids but was selfish to use drugs in front of them. Selfish and sad. Poor boys."

However Fifi quickly hit back, writing: "You've no idea what you're talking about quite frankly. Yet another who has bought into the bulls***.

"I'd appreciate you getting the f*** off my page with stuff like that on today of all days."

The outburst comes just days after the inquest into the death of Peaches - who tragically died at the age of 25. It was claimed that she had been taking substitute drug methadone in the two-and-a-half years before her untimely demise.

Peaches' grieving husband Thomas Cohen told the inquest that his wife had started taking heroin again in February and the drugs were of high purity.

Thomas also revealed how he witnessed Peaches trying to flush drugs down the toilet at their home in Wrotham, Kent, South East England.

According to evidence presented at the inquest, held in Gravesend Old Town Hall in Kent, Peaches' body had become intolerant of heroin after she successfully overcame a past addiction and so the high purity of the drugs she was taking had a fatal effect.

Thomas confirmed he had taken his eldest son to stay with his parents on the weekend of Peaches' death and said she seemed fine when he spoke to her on the phone. The rocker became concerned when he couldn't reach his wife by phone and found her body the next day, April 7, slumped on a bed. - BANG Showbiz
