US singer Karyn White has arrived in South Africa for this year's Macufe Mangaung African Cultural Festival.

The 'Super Woman' super star will be joining fellow American jazz singer Andy Narrel and Romeo Mputu from DRC.

The show will also see performances from local heavyweights Stimela, Zonke, Nathi, Lira, Jimmy Dludlu, Presss, Tsepo Tshola, Vusi Nova and DJ's Finzo, What What, Ruby Red, Prince Kaybee, Allayen and Miss Noxy.

White, who’s on her first visit to South Africa, posted a video on Facebook just before she boarded the plane to Mzansi.

Although the excited singer is heard on the video saying,”I am on my way to South Africa for the first time... Say a prayer for me that I make it there safely”, some fans who interpreted her words in a negative way, were not impressed.

Perhaps it's the titled of the video: On my way to South Africa to perform! Pray for my safety, is what caused the confusion.

Some Facebook users posted:

The two-week arts and music event, which started on September 30, will continue until Sunday.
