Kim Kardashian West's late father was "heavy on [her] mind" the night before Father's Day, June 16.

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star shared a touching tribute to Robert Kardashian - who died from esophageal cancer in September 2003 aged just 59 - by sharing a sweet picture of the pair when the reality star was a child on Instagram, whilst revealing how she misses her parent "so much".

Alongside the photo, Kim - whose mother is Kris Jenner - wrote: "I know I’m posting this early but you’re so heavy on my mind tonight. Happy Father’s Day to the best dad in the world. I miss you so much dad."

The 37-year-old beauty has no doubt been thinking about her dad - who also had Khloe, 33, Kourtney, 39, and 31-year-old Rob with Kris - a lot lately, as she recently admitted she would love to follow in his footsteps and become an attorney.

It's a profession she would "truly love" to tackle, especially after her own lawyers told the mother-of-three she would be great at the job.

Kim - who has North, five, Saint, two, and four-month-old Chicago with husband Kanye West - said: "All of my attorneys at home always joke, like, 'You've gotta just come be in the office.' If I didn't have to go for so much school, I would truly love to be an attorney [and] practice all the time. Everyone who knows me knows that I'm so passionate about it."

It's not the first time the businesswoman has spoken about her legal dreams either, as she once said she would be willing to start out at the bottom as an "intern" and work her way up when her showbiz career slows down.

Kim made the offer after her own attorney, Mike Kump, said he thought she had the "perfect instincts" and "great judgement" needed to be a good lawyer.

In a Snapchat video, Mike said: "Kim, I've been doing this for 35 years and I said you missed your calling. You really should be a lawyer. That's what you need to be.

"You've got the perfect instincts, you've got great judgment, and you know how to present your position in the most articulate manner and convince people of your point of view. Will you please join my law firm?"

In response, Kim said: "I'll just be an intern. When things slow down, all I want to do is be an intern on like, a really exciting Howard Weitzman/Shawn Holley case."

Her lawyer replied: "You're hired! Immediately."
