Miss SA aims to impress with her singing at Miss World

Did you know that Miss SA 2016 can sing? In addition to being a beauty with brains, the reigning Miss South Africa Ntandoyenkosi Kunene has revealed her talent as one that she will share with the world.

Ntando as she fondly called by her fans, showed off the some of her pageant costumes as she prepares to compete in the Miss World competition in the US on December 18.

She decided to sing for her ‘talent’ round and chose to sing a song titled ‘Ubuntu’bam’ by South African songstress Siphokazi.

Kunene, the 24-year-old Mpumalanga beauty, will be representing South Africa against 119 other countries in the competition which is watched by more than one-billion people worldwide.

She is set to leave on Friday November 23 for the 66th edition of Miss World will put the contestants through a series of challenges and interviews to determine who will win the coveted title of Miss World 2016, and become the ambassador of “Beauty with a Purpose”.

“Growing up it was always my dream to be crowned Miss South Africa and I am thrilled now to be able to represent this country on the international stage. I will do my best make the Rainbow Nation proud,” she said.

She said she chose the song because it resonates with who she is and hopes that the rest of the world will have a clear picture of the identity of the woman who will “stand with about 54 million” South Africans on the world stage.
