Meghan Markle's half sister has publicly criticised her for not helping her father through his financial difficulties.
Samantha Markle - who is one of the two children Meghan's father Thomas had before he met Meghan's mother Doria - has called out the 'Suits' actress, who is engaged to Prince Harry, and asked her to help him through his financial difficulties.
Speaking to Australia's Nine News, she said: "I think he did help her a lot and he is very creative too and encouraging, so she made the most of her environment. I don't think he feels that she owes him, but that is how I see it.
"If you can afford $75,000 (about R900 000) for a dress, you can afford $75,000 to help your dad. That's how I feel, what's who I am. Honestly - what she could spend in a weekend would greatly help dad, so that should be a priority. I think you need to step up to the plate and make sure he is well taken care of."
Meanwhile, Samantha previously insisted Meghan's father will be at her wedding to Prince Harry when they tie the knot at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, on May 19.
When asked if her father would be attending the pair's big day, she said: "Yes he is, God forbid unless a plane crashes through his roof, he'll be there one way or the other. So any rumour to the contrary is ... my favourite new word is becoming 'oh rubbish'. Yeah, so he will be there."
