Local rapper AKA had a Twitter meltdown over the weekend about music piracy and says he won't take pictures if you can't prove you bought his album.

Supa Mega has been very vocal about his problems with fans downloading his music illegally. The 'Daddy Issues II' rapper even put a fan on blast last month for "stealing" his music.

Over the weekend, AKA detailed his frustrations about piracy in a series of tweets on how it affects him both emotionally and financially.

Don’t ask me for no fucking pictures if you can’t prove to me that you bought my shit. Period. Why the fuck would I waste a second of my time posing for pictures with m********kers who don’t support me??

Also if you show me “Touch My Blood” on your phone and it says f****** fleximp3 or whatever, BEST BELIEVE IM TAKING YOUR F****** PHONE BRUV!!!!!!! Steal my music, I’ll steal your phone bitch!!!!!

Piracy is wack yo. I work for 2/3 years straight, I make a classic ... you download it, you steal from me then you get upset when I tell you to go f*** yourself when you ask me for a picture.

Shit is so messed up that people will download your shit for free off the internet and tell you ... ey, bro ... I’m your biggest fan. ❤️

I’m sorry to rant like this and stuff, but this shit got me tight. Downloading my album is literally STEALING FOOD OUT OF MY DAUGHTERS MOUTH. Literally. We work super super hard to give you this music.

To the people who buy and support local artists, like damn ... aren’t you pissed you spent money on music that people steal without flinching???

— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 23, 2018

We need a resolution to this issue. What’s the problem? Is data too expensive? ... how do we fix this 💔

— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 23, 2018

The model is broken man. Fucking broken. Next time I rate I sell my album to a brand and give it all away for free ... then we can all win.

— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 23, 2018

*sigh* this will not be the last time I go off about this that’s for sure ... it’s just frustrating having people steal from you and not be able to do anything about it.

There is no point having an album anymore. A totally nonsensical concept in this country. Just make songs. Shoot videos. You don’t need the stress or the headache.

— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 23, 2018

I mean, right now I’m #1 on every chart, every playlist and station ... if I can pay for all of that shit, surely you have R100 to spare.

— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 23, 2018

I feel so much better now. ❤️ Thanks Guys. I had to get that off my chest.

AKA also previously took a fan's cell phone and discarded of it during an appearance at Shimmy Beach Club in 2016 after the fan tried to snap a picture of him and his ex-girlfriend Bonang Matheba.
