Local rapper Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye has warned his fans against the dangers of the festive season this December.

Speaking to Zkhiphani, Jub Jub — who is currently on out on parole for killing four school kids while drag racing in 2010 — said he doesn't want people to make the same mistakes he has.

"We are going into a rough season and everyone is going to be in the firing line. There are going to be parties, there are going to be people who do the mistakes that I did and there are going to be people who are going to get out of hand. And I just want people to be safe out there and look after themselves," he said.

The rapper has taken a new direction with his music releasing several gospel-inspired songs since his release.

Taking about what he learned from the incident the rapper says, “I’m at a point now where I’m not looking at how far I’m going to go or how far I’m going to get; I'm looking back as to how far I’ve come. And to be able to stand here right now it’s only through the grace of God.”
