Khanyi Mbau could soon be adding Touch HD host to her celebrity CV.
During her interview on the Expensive Breakfast with former Metro FM present Glen Lewis and co-host Nina Hastie on Touch HD, Mbau received a job offer from the station owner and businessman Tbo Touch.
Khanyi had mentioned that she is still contracted to Metro FM, but has no show at the station at the moment. She was offered an alternative time slot, but was unhappy with it and turned the offer down.
"...it wasn't true to who I am at the moment and I was lying to myself, it just didn't feel right and that's why I walked away...," said Khanyi.
Khanyi made some interesting revelations about "Whose Show Is it Anyway", the breakfast show she co-hosted with Somizi and Ntombi Ngcobo.
"I just think, probably the team that was put together, we didn't understand each other. We understood each other on the streets as friends, we've been together for many years but when it came to radio.radio is like therapy each and everyday.
The show was canned during the Metro FM annual reshuffle.
We will wait and see if Khanyi takes up Tbo Touch's offer, which would be quite a coup for Touch HD.
