Nandi Madida set to host Afropunk in NYC

TV personality Nandi Madida will be hosting the Afropunk festival in Brooklyn, New York City on 26 and 27 August 2017. 

The local celebrity shared the good news on Instagram: "I am both ecstatic and honored to announce that I will be making History as the FIRST AFRICAN to host at Afropunk Brooklyn in New York City 26&27 August 2017 🇺🇸. Dreams really do come true.#AfricanQueen 👑 they tried to bury us but they didn't know we were seeds.(sic)"

Some of the acts performing at the festival includes Solange, Raphael Saadiq, Anderson Paak, Gary Clark Jr. & Michael Kiwanuka.

Afropunk is also set to come to Johannesburg in December with headline acts Solange, Black Motion, Laura Mvula.
