For years now, Power FM has been taking it upon themselves to celebrate Women’s Month in a unique way. Over a few days, their male presenters get to stay off work while women take their spots.

In previous years, the likes of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Professor Thuli Madonsela, Tumi Morake, Lira, Dr Judy Dlamini, Khanyi Dhlomo and more have filled these shoes and shook up shows in order to discuss pertinent topics.

This year, from August 8 to 10, women like Patricia De Lille, Moshidi Motshegwa, Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng, Dr Rebecca Malope, Boity and Modiehi Thulo and others will take over the radio shows.

The station’s manager, Bob Mabena, commented: “We are absolutely convinced that this year’s line-up will live up to expectations and add value to discussions happening in the country and beyond.”

“These are knowledgeable and powerful women and therefore there is no doubt they will satisfy Power 98.7’s listeners’ hunger for quality discussions – led by quality presenters.”

“This campaign wishes to honour the women of Power for inspiring us and to recognize their resilience in spite of the challenging environments that they exist and operate in.”
