Johannesburg - Ever wondered what it’s like working with a world-famous rap star?

South African rapper Du Boiz recently did, and he says working with Tyga was “dope”.

The Celebration hitmaker recently arrived home after spending a week in Los Angeles collaborating with Tyga on a new song and video titiled Dope Dream.

Du Boiz is featured on the track and in the video. “He (Tyga) was really cool. I thought he was a bit quiet, but he was easy to work with. We did a couple of takes and he never complained.”

The US rapper, who recently signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label, opted to collaborate with Du Boiz after hearing some of his music.

“It’s not something that just happens to everyone, and I believe most local musicians all want to work with international stars at some point.”

Du Boiz now looks forward to working with more international artists. “Simply because they’re different, they’re in their own lane and don’t feel the need to fit in. I really like that.”
