Local entertainer Zodwa Wabantu has refuted claims that she was banned from performing in Zambia and is set to bring her no panties dancing to the country this weekend.

National Guidance and Religious Affairs Minister, Godfridah Sumaili, previously told the local Zambian publication The Times of Zambia that Wabantu was not welcome in the country because she promotes immorality with her shows.

The minister then backtracked when people online protested against his decision stating that the reason Wabantu was not allowed to perform in the counrty was because she did not have the correct permits.

Speaking to TsisheLIVE, Wabantu revealed that everything is in order and she is heading off to the country this weekend and that her R35 000 booking fee has been fully paid.

Wabantu add that she would not  be stopped from performing in the country because of "hypocrites" who think she is "unchristian".

"I have signed all the paperwork and I am flying out later this week to perform there. I think that people are just trying to sabotage me and the event. The underwear thing is my choice and I don't understand why people are so upset. There are Christians who do much worse things behind closed doors."

Zodwa Wabantu is also set to her pantyless dancing to America later this year.
