Nomzamo Mbatha has recieved a nomination for outstanding achievement in film by the African Pride Awards.

The local star, who recently had hosting duties at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana posted a black & gold picture captioning it with: "Proud and honored to announce that I have been nominated for African Pride Awards 2017 in the category OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN FILM - AFRICA"

Other notable nominees included in the category include Daniel Kaluuya who stared the the smash horror hit Get Out and Madina Nalwanga who stared in the Disney film Queen of Katwe.
