Newlywed Kim Kardashian’s sex tape has been valued at more than R200 million by its owners, who have been approached to sell it.

A mystery buyer is trying to snap up the rights to the X-rated 39-minute clip, which was filmed in February 2007.

It features reality TV star Kim and her then-boyfriend, R&B singer Ray J.

Yesterday Vivid Entertainment, the firm who currently holds the rights, revealed they had been contacted by a Tennessee law firm representing a potential bidder.

Shame

A lawyer’s letter hinted the eager buyer could be directly linked to Kim, who has voiced her shame at the film.

The letter says: “We would purchase any other footage you may have control of that involves Ms Kardashian.”

Vivid boss Steve Hirsch says he is open to the deal but it will cost the law firm dearly.

He says: “Based on its long-term value, it looks like £18 million would be a starting point for a discussion on all of the rights.

“I have no idea who is behind this offer but if it’s Kim, I have a tremendous amount of respect for her.

“She has my number and can call me any time,” the entertainment boss adds.

The 30-year-old’s very private marriage ceremony to basketball player Kris Humphries earlier this month caused the clip to be viewed more than twice as much as it normally does.

More than two million people logged on to watch it in August alone. Under normal circumstances, the clip only attracts 300 000 eager eyes a month. - Daily Voice
