Peter O'Toole has launched an astonishing attack on the director of his last film, Troy. The veteran actor claims the film - which also starred Hollywood heartthrobs Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom and Eric Bana - was "a disaster" and has branded German filmmaker Wolfgang Petersen "a clown."
When asked about the movie at the Savannah Film Festival, the 71-year-old screen legend said: "Ugh, what a disaster. The director, that kraut, what a
clown he was."
O'Toole, who played Priam in the epic film, was so unimpressed by the finished film that he stormed out of a screening after just 15 minutes.
He revealed: "When it was all over, I watched 15 minutes of the finished movie and then walked out.
"At least I had one good scene."
The actor, whose most famous movie is Lawrence of Arabia, is currently filming Casanova in Europe with Heath Ledger and Sienna Miller.
