Cape Town radio station Good Hope FM and GrandWest Casino have joined forces to stage a benefit concert in an effort to raise funds for the victims affected by the Knysna fires and Cape storm.

The concert will be held at the Grand Arena on Saturday, 5 August, and 100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to support these groups.

Members of the public are encouraged to seize the moment of 'giving back', while partying it up to entertainment delivered by a vast array of talented local MCs, DJs, comedians, musicians and dancers, who will all be performing for free.

During the month of June these forces of nature wreaked havoc across the province, resulting in residents losing homes, lives being lost and severe damage to many structures that included damage to hundreds of schools.

The Benefit Concert hopes to help everyone affected by these events to literally rebuild their lives, as many of them are unable to do so without our support. By coming together with your friends and family and attending this event you too can make a positive impact and give those in need a leg-up.

The line-up for the evening is phenomenal, including Locnville, Tresor, Chad Saaiman, Nasty C, Dominic Neill, Lakota Silva, dance company, Afrika Ablaze, New Hero, Can Skylark and many more.

Good Hope FM presenters Nigel Pierce, Kyeezi, Danilo Acquisto, Dan Corder and Stan Mars will MC the event and the audience can look forward to comedy from fellow presenters (and comedians) Dalin Oliver and Carl Weber as well as SA’s top ventriloquist, Conrad Koch.

Tickets are going for R150p/p and are available to purchase online from Computicket.com. Doors on the night will open at 5pm for the 6pm start.
