London - Katie Holmes' new co-stars are surprised she's not a diva.

The 33-year-old actress - who split from Tom Cruise in June after six years of marriage with whom she shares six-year-old daughter Suri - is said to have formed fast friendships with her 'Dead Accounts' Broadway colleagues who didn't expect her to be so laid-back.

A source told US Weekly magazine: “People thought they would have to step on egg shells around her. She's got her personal stuff going on, but she leaves that at the door. And behind the scenes she's a funny, loving girl, not an ounce of diva in her. They've all bonded.”

The actress, who previously appeared in the Broadway show All My Sons in 2008, stars in the new show alongside Norbert Leo Butz, Judy Greer and Josh Hamilton and the insider revealed she “has been eating her lunches with the rest of the cast”.

Meanwhile, Katie is said to have temporarily moved from her plush New York apartment in Chelsea to The Mark Hotel on the Upper East Side with Suri because their home has no water or power after hurricane Sandy last week.

Other celebrities taking refuge in the swanky hotel include fashion designer Marc Jacobs, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and actress Naomi Watts and her family.

It was recently reported that Suri's father Tom, 50, hasn't seen his daughter in more than three months as he is busy shooting new films in London.

The Rock of Ages star is said to be planning to see her as soon as possible.

The actor's long-term lawyer and good friend Bert Fields said: “Tom is a loving, caring father. Suri is a vital part of his life and always will be.

“Of course he'll be seeing her soon. He's in England finishing one picture and preparing another.” - Bang Showbiz
