Have Kim Kardashian and Kanye West already tied the knot?

Several gossip sites are claiming that this celebrity couple got married in a secret ceremony in Los Angeles on May 4. According to Hollywoodlife.com, the couple had to get hitched in the states first, to make their marriage official, before tying the knot again in a more symbolic ceremony in Paris on May 24.

“They signed the papers, it’s a done deal!” exclaimed HollywoodLife. “They are headed out to Paris within a week, so they’ll get their licence first.”

According to Life & Style, in order to make their marriage official, Kim and Kanye had to get married in California, unless they planned on making Paris their new residence for a while. To make their French union official, claims Life & Style, the couple would need to have lived in Paris for at least 40 consecutive days. They would also have had to produce two pieces of verification – such as a lease and a French social security card – to prove that they had lived in the city.

Gossip site TMZ claims the couple secured a confidential marriage agreement, which allowed them to tie the knot in the privacy of their home.

However, according to PEOPLE magazine, a source close to the Kardashian family insists no such event took place and Kim remains a bride-to-be.

The couple are set to get hitched, in public, during a lavish celebration at France’s opulent Chateau Louis XIV.
