THERE was one notable omission from the good-humoured nuptials of former supermodel Jerry Hall and media billionaire Rupert Murdoch earlier this month.

While Jerry gladly welcomed both Mick’s first wife, Bianca Jagger, and his former lover Marsha Hunt — the mother of his eldest child — to the celebrations, no such sisterly courtesy was extended to the mother of Jagger’s youngest offspring.

Luciana Gimenez Morad is, of course, the woman who finally destroyed Jerry’s union with the Rolling Stone. The news in November 1998 that Mick Jagger had impregnated a publicity-loving Brazilian bikini model was the final straw for Jerry, who called time on their marriage.

It turned out that Mick’s affair with Luciana, conducted in hotels around the world, had gone on for eight months behind Jerry’s back. And 16 years later, the idea of forgiving this woman is beyond the limits of even Jerry’s apparent saintliness.

But what has become of Luciana? And of her son by Jagger, Lucas, now a strapping, curly-haired 16-year-old? The answer is that Luciana, the daughter of a successful actress, continues shamelessly to milk their liaison for all it is worth.

And Mick, to his credit, has a good relationship with his seventh child.

With the Stones now touring South America, Luciana has been quick to make the most of her former lover’s proximity.

She persuaded a sheepish-looking Mick to open the music block at their son’s private school last month and conducted a toe-curling interview with him on Brazilian TV during which she wore a black lace negligee-style dress and made purring references to his energy.

Now approaching 47, Luciana, who presents a nightly music show on Brazilian TV, has a life of luxury. She lives in Sao Paolo with her millionaire husband — who just happens to be her boss at the local TV station which pays her an astonishing £480,000 a year.

Life really is grand — they have a £3 million home in New York and a holiday residence on an island off the coast of Brazil. She is in formidable shape, too. Her husband says jokingly that she exists on a diet of air, polystyrene and lettuce.

Indeed, Luciana’s story is surely depressing proof that modern fame can be attained without apparent toil or talent . . . just a hefty dose of shamelessness.

She claimed, shortly after giving birth to Lucas, that she ‘didn’t know’ that Mick was still legally married which, for a model immersed in popular culture, seems rather surprising.

And as for the anguish she caused Jerry, she trilled: ‘I don’t know how she feels about me, but I understand that I probably hurt her.’ There was no ‘probably’ about it.

Luciana Gimenez Morad was born in Sao Paolo in 1969. Her mother, Vera, was an actress and her father Joao, a Lebanese businessman and nightclub entrepeneur. After she and Joao split, Vera embarked on a career making soft-porn movies, while Luciana was sent to a convent school in Rio. Tall and skinny, she was nicknamed the Stork, but by the time she was 13, the model agencies were circling.

As she jetted her way round the modelling world, she would return home to Brazil to see her mother — who had by then spent a period appearing in Brazilian soap operas but retired to work as a PR for a nightclub in Rio. And it seems that it was there that Luciana first got a taste for wealthy, famous men.

Among them was Rod Stewart, with whom Luciana and her mother claimed she had a year-long fling in 1989. There then followed a brief liaison with action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme. But Mick Jagger — one of the world’s wealthiest men — remained the big prize.

In April 1998, she got her chance when the Rolling Stones played in Rio, and she attended the after-show party. She certainly never lacked confidence: ‘When I make myself up I’m stunning and I attract a lot of attention. I have no trouble getting men,’ she once said.

The party host, investment banker Olavo Monteiro de Carvalho, said: ‘It all happened very quickly.’ One of the Rio newspapers gossip columnists reported how Jagger disappeared into the banker’s garden for half an hour, and returned saying he had been ‘meditating’.

Luciana then apparently spent the next few months flying around the world for a series of liaisons at discreet hotels in Germany, Britain and Greece.

Brazilian papers say she fell pregnant while holidaying with Jagger on a Greek island. Lucas was born in the spring of 1999, and by the summer, DNA tests had established he was Jagger’s child.

A financial settlement was put in place which gave Luciana a reported £10,000 a month, and she moved into a four-bedroom house with a pool on a gated estate in Sao Paolo — and was banned from speaking about their legal deal.

To his credit, Mick became an involved father, and saw his son every two or three months. Luciana called him a ‘very fine father’, saying: ‘Lucas is a really sweet child, but his dad is a sweet man.

‘From his distance, he is being a good dad. Mick does what he can. He has a happy relationship with his son.’

Wisely, she kept away from the rest of the Jagger clan. ‘I want to let them all breathe. I don’t think my presence would be very helpful, so I try to let them build up a friendship without me.’

Lucas was sent to the British school in Sao Paolo to make sure he was fluent in English for the sake of being friends with the family.

In the meantime, Luciana caught the eye of Marcelo de Carvalho Fragali, the owner and vice-president of Rede TV! who is ten years her senior.

A flamboyant millionaire with a taste for yachts and fast cars, he had been in charge of the station since 1999, where Luciana’s show SuperPop was its most successful offering.

Marcelo was married to Mariana and they had three children. He split from her in June 2004.

Although Luciana insists ‘I never accepted the label of homewrecker. Nobody should steal anything from anybody’, by September that year, Luciana and Marcelo were publicly an item, marrying in lavish style in 2006.

Luciana wore a Grace Kelly-style dress, while the wedding itself was on the Brazilian island of Ilhabela.

Some 1,400 oysters were flown in by helicopter, and each of the 200 guests was given a silver crown, topped with a crystal pineapple, to take home as a memento.

Luciana’s love of luxury has continued apace. The newlyweds settled into a three-storey apartment on the top floor of an exclusive block in the west of Sao Paolo worth around £4 million. They are waited on by four permanent staff. And her expensive tastes are matched only by her desire to get everything her own way.

In a 2011 interview in Playboy magazine, her husband said: ‘When we married, she proposed to me that we each had our own bedroom. I hated it! I said: “This is an outrage, a humiliation. When have you ever seen anyone marry to each stay in a bedroom?” ’

But what Luciana wants, Luciana gets. So in her separate bedroom, Luciana has a gold-leaf, four-poster bed, an en-suite make-up room, walk-in wardrobe, and her own gym and bathroom.

While unwilling to share this space with her husband, she is happy to do so with her four cats and dogs. She has a personal trainer twice a week and works out every day. She is also an enthusiast of Ashtanga yoga.

She and her husband are an unusual match. He once remarked: ‘It is easier to be her boss than her husband.’ Luciana recently surprised the host of a chat show, who asked if she had ever cheated on her husband, by replying: ‘Of course. Who’s never cheated on someone? Everyone’s cheated.’

Differences aside, however, in 2011, the couple welcomed a son, Lorenzo, a half-brother for Lucas.

Lucas has been spotted with his father more often of late. During the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Luciana and Marcelo allowed Jagger to stay in their apartment with Lucas as he took his son to watch the matches.

Last year, Lucas and Jagger were seen playing football together in Central Park, New York, while recently Lizzie Jagger posted a sweet picture of herself cuddling up to her youngest half-sibling.

Lucas is very much part of the Jagger fold. And his spotlight-loving mother is determined to keep it that way. As she recently told a local magazine about Mick: ‘I love him still and I will always love him.

‘I love him in a different way to how I love my husband, which is a romantic and sexual relationship, but I love both of them who are the fathers of my sons. They are the most important men in my life.’

Jagger may have once insisted, You Can’t Always Get What You Want. Try telling that to Luciana.
