Many actresses have expressed their wish to work with Ajith Kumar, including none other than biker, Alisha Abdullah who is also making her acting debut with forthcoming Tamil movie Irumbu Kuthirai.

Abdullah and Kumar know each other well as he used to race with her father.

The actress said she has grown up watching his films and that it would be nice to act alongside him.

“He used to race with my father and I have grown up watching him. It would be really great to team up with Ajith Sir for a film. I would love to work with someone who is equally passionate about bikes,” she said.

Abdullah is regarded as the fastest Indian bike racer in India and is the country’s first national champion.

She has also signed her second film, said to be a psycho-thriller. –

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha’s birthday bash, which was on June 2, was celebrated at Olive in Mumbai.

While stars like Arjun Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra were spotted at the party, one face remained missing – that of Sinha’s rumoured beau, Shahid Kapoor.

But it seems Kapoor had a different idea of how to spend time with his special lady on her birthday.

The actor and Sinha met up after the party and the two went for a drive in a supposed attempt to avoid the shutterbugs.

While the buzz about Sinhai and Kapoor has been in the air for a while, the birthday girl has dismissed it, saying the actor is just a good friend.

But if Kapoor is such a good friend, then what compelled him to skip Sinha’s birthday bash at Olive?

Well, Kapoor and Sinha might be denying rumours of their relationship, but their private drive hints at more than friendship and will do nothing to stop the speculation. –

Actress Priyanka Chopra has sent a legal notice to ex-boyfriend Aseem Merchant for producing a biopic on her former manager, Prakash Jaju.

The proposed biopic allegedly centres on a controversial part of Chopra’s life and she feels it is an infringement of her privacy.

A copy of the notice has been sent to Jaju as well. It is said Chopra had a controversial scuffle with her former manager when he alleged she owed money which she refused to pay.

Things deteriorated when Jaju allegedly threatened the actress and her family, after which the actress’s father laid a charge and Jaju was arrested and jailed for 67 days.

Now Merchant plans to make a movie titled 67 Days which Chopra feels will reflect poorly on her life. But Merchant and Jaju maintain it is based on Jaju’s life and Chopra is merely a part of it. – Picture:

Actress Amala Paul, who is set to marry Tamil film-maker Vijay in Chennai on June 12, has roped in two of the country’s well-known designers – Anita Dongre and Sabyasachi Mukherjee – to design her wedding outfits.

While Dongre will design Paul’s engagement gown, her wedding reception outfit will be a creation by Mukherjee.

“For the ring engagement ceremony on Saturday in Kochi, Amala will be seen in Anita Dongre’s white gown.

“On the same evening, she will be seen wearing a traditional lehenga. For the wedding on June 12, Amala will be draped in a traditional Kanchivaram sari and later in the evening, during the reception party, she will slip into Sabyasachi’s creation and wear a specially ordered diamond necklace to go with it,” a close friend of the family said.

The engagement ceremony is expected to be attended only by the couple’s close family, whereas the wedding and reception will be graced by special guests from the southern film industry.

Paul and Vijay fell in love in 2011, on the set of Tamil drama Deiva Thirumagal, directed by Vijay himself. They have been dating ever since. –

Taapsee Pannu seems to be on cloud nine after a popular Tamil actor praised her highly.

The praise came from Vivek when he tweeted that Pannu should be in Hollywood. Her height and perfect physique blended with her acting skills could take her to new heights, he said.

“Taapsee is Hollywood material. With her height, looks, elegant physique and acting talent she will reach greater heights. VRV will vouch for it,” the comedian posted.

Pannu was very happy to be praised by the actor and thanked him.

She tweeted: “That’s a huge compliment, sir. Hope I live up to the expectations.”

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has wanted a tattoo for a long time, finally got herself inked – near her collar bone – possibly as a gift for herself for her birthday.

And now Sinha wants another tattoo.

Though she is promoting her new film, Holiday with Akshay Kumar, she planned to spend time with family and friends in the evenings.

Sinha is happy that her father and Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Shatrughan Sinha, won the Lok Sabha elections. “We are happy that BJP is back in power. And, the changes Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already brought in the government, the way he has the youth enthusiastic... I think it is a sign of good days to come,” she said. –
