IT seems the truth is out about Kareena Kapoor’s exclusion from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela film.
While it was initially reported that Bhansali was adamant about not having a married woman play the role of Juliet in Ram Leela, it is now said that the actual reason is because Bhansali wanted Kapoor to sign a contract with a clause that said she will not get pregnant during the making of Ram Leela.
The actress refused to sign, leading to her expulsion from the film. Kapoor was supposed to play the role of a Gujarati Juliet called Leela.
It was also reported that Kapoor was so desperate for the role that she had convinced Saif Ali Khan to delay the wedding just so that Bhansali takes her back. But somehow, things did not fall in Kapoor’s favour.
Apparently the film-maker considered Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif for the role, but eventually signed Deepika Padukone. – Oneindia.in
