Many might not know this, but the late Marvel Comic creator Stan Lee has made cameo appearances in a series of Marvel Cinematic Universe productions over the years.

He also had a cameo role in 1995 movie "Mallrats," where he gives comic-nerd Brodie (played by skateboarder/actor Jason Lee) an endearing speech about the importance of love.

Speaking about his appearances, Lee said: "The only time I go on the set is when I have a cameo to do in the picture. I go to the set and I do my little cameo and I meet all the people. It’s a great way to spend the day. And then I go back to my own world."

The comic book legend tragically passed away on Monday morning at the age of 95, whilst at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Lee began his career as a comic-book writer, editor, film executive producer, actor, and publisher, in 1935, and has created or co-created some of the most famous comic book characters - and later on-screen heroes - that are still loved by millions today.
