Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford is set to star in The House Gun, an independent film based on a Nadine Gordimer novel by the same name. According to a Media.24 report, James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has been lined up to play his father.

The film, based on the 1998 book by SA Nobel Prize-winner Gordimer, tells the story of a wealthy local man, Harald Lingard, who‘s son is accused of shooting and killing his friend.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “...the family then hires a black lawyer, in what becomes a story of morality and race in post-apartheid South Africa”.

Crawford was orginally scheduled to star in the remake of the hit film Footloose, but pulled out because of scheduling concerns. He is best known for playing the character Nate Archibald in ‘Gossip Girl’. - IOL
