It is no doubt that Bongekile Simelane aka Babes Wodumo's track ‘Gqom’ is shaking up the music industry - for good and bad.
While some criticise her music, calling it “rachet”, Cassper Nyovest has come to her defence.
The ‘Malume’ hitmaker took to Twitter to show his support for Babes Wodumo, even comparing her to the late Lebo Mathosa.

The Boom Shaka star, who died tragically in a car accident in 2006, was highly popular. She was known for her peroxide blonde hair, sexy stage outfits and controversial dance moves. She was frequently compared to the legendary Brenda Fassie.
Here are some of the tweets criticising Simelane's music.
