Three Kings

**

It’s about time.

Old R&B singers Tyrese, Genuwine and Tank, who are best friends, have been working on this album for more than six years. Because of label contracts, the trio could not release it any earlier, but now that it is out, it was worth the wait.

Consider that each member has given us a classic or two, so their huddle-up is like Marvel’s Avengers going to war.

Their voices make for a great trio and that talk of having Avant as the fourth member is really not necessary.

The album has a number of baby-making songs o it which comes as no surprise since the singers’ individual projects were about that too.

Take Hurry, for instance, in which the men focus on rushed sex encounters that are passionately done, usually between new lovers. Explode is another sex track you can look out for.

However, as grown men, it is commendable that the guys take a serious look at relationship issues.

On Next Time Around, there is a mature look at the complexities of love. About 15 of the 19 tracks on the deluxe album will keep you interested.

Not too sure about being kings, but these dudes are onto something here. – Munya Vomo
