Locals Only Triple-Header
Live – the Venue |(Tonight)
MAKING it as a band can be tough, especially when you’re an up-and- coming group and need as much exposure as possible to succeed in the music industry.
That’s why Live – the Venue is giving local bands the opportunity to get their music out there in its Locals Only shows, which take place monthly. Here, the venue features Durban bands and allows the musicians to perform on its stage.
Tonight there will be a triple- header featuring the talents of Mickey Burns, The Seagreen Blues Band and Die Wolwedans.
According to a press release, the Mickey Burns is a quartet which was formed to play music, not describe it.
The members are Jonas Barausse on vocals, Raul Diaz on drums, Trav Nel on bass and Nick Pitman on guitar.
The Seagreen Blues Band have their roots in modern blues and rock. Their songs tell stories of love and modern madness.
The group comprises Donavin Seagreen on vocals and guitar, Chad Porter on bass, 20-year-old Nathan Clothier on guitar and Seth Parkin on drums.
Die Wolwedans are a quartet formed in Durban last year. They play alternative rock with elements of rock and punk.
The band members are Mark McMahon on vocals, Jason Cramer on drums, Eugene Jeursen on bass and Paul Brown on guitar.
