London - A costume worn by Lady Gaga has sold for more than $15 000 at auction.

The elaborate outfit, created by avante garde designers threeASFOUR for the 'Applause' hitmaker's March 2014 photo shoot in Harper's Bazaar magazine, was sold at Nate D. Sanders Auctions in Los Angeles for $15 625.

The 27-year-old singer was the cover model for the issue and wore the flesh tone one-piece item, a stretchy power mesh bodysuit in a tiny size 4.

The outfit is adorned with clusters of large triangular sequins in mirrored metal along the chest, arms and front of the thighs.

Gaga's costume also features a built-in cowl hat upper and full gloves with stainless steel laser cutout mesh pieces wrap around the head, shoulders and arms.

Only one fan made an offer for the costume, which had a minimum bid of $12 500.

The star was zipped into the tight one-piece, which she also wore for a photograph featured inside the publication, and is one of many detailed costumes used for the shoot.

Meanwhile, Gaga will soon kick off her 'ArtRave: The ARTPOP Ball' and brings the show to the UK in October, performing in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, London and Dublin. - BANG Showbiz
