Kanye West plans to release his new album on Black Friday following a trip to Africa.

The outspoken rap star had initially planned to release his new record, 'Yandhi', over the weekend - but he's admitted it's still not finished and he'll soon be heading to Africa in search of some last-minute inspiration.

Kanye, 41, then revealed that he's heading to Africa in two weeks to finish the record, and he's hopeful of releasing it on November 23.

The 'Famous' hitmaker - whose last album, 'Ye', was released earlier this year - also revealed what he's hoping to get from his overseas trip.

He told TMZ: "We have to go to what is known as Africa.

"I just need to go and find out what it's really called and grab the soil and cook five meals a day so the metabolism stays up and have my kids in the studio and have my mic in the open, so you can hear nature while we're recording.

"We're going to bring out the album on what is known as Black Friday on November 23, and I'm just so happy about what is happening."
